Adding visits counter to blog

Today I added visits counter to my blog. There are lot of web counter service available to generate install code for visits counter. I used StatCounter to generate install code. Its very simple, Let me explain the process.

Step 1 : Generate the Install code
1. Go to StatCounter and register your details.
2. After successfully registered it will ask you to 'Add a statcounter project'.
3. Here you need to give blog details.
4. After successfully statcounter project added it will ask you to 'Configure and Install code'
5. Please follow the install code stpes carefully and generate the code. (Depends on you requirements select appropriate options)

Note : When prompted, make sure to choose 'Blogger/Blogspot' as your Blog/Web Page Editor from the drop down list.

Step 2 : Copy install code into your Blog
1. Goto 'Dashboard' view of your blog and click on 'Layout'.
2. Click 'Add Gadget' link, it will prompt you a new window with available gadgets.
3. Search for 'HTML/Javascript' gadget and click '+' to add gadget.
4. It will prompt you a window to enter Install code, Paste the Install code in content area and give the title.
5. Click on 'Save'.
