Call MAVEN task from ANT

Few days back I got a requirement like call maven task from ant script. For this I wrote one shell script and in which I defined maven task(build war). From ant I called this script using 'exec' cmd, see below

<target>
exec executable="/bin/bash">
<arg value="${src.dir}/SAMPLE_MAVEN.sh"/>
</exec>

</target>

Today I came to know that we can call maven task from ant using 'marcodef', Its very easy to use and its worked for me . See the equavalent macrodef script for the above ant script

<target name="build.sw" depends="env, init, prepare">
<maven basedir="${pom.dir}" goal="clean" resultproperty="maven.build.result" options="-e -Dspring.root=${firware.build.root} -Dbuild.for.prod=false -Djavac.debug=true -Djavac.optimize=false"/>
<maven basedir="${pom.dir}" goal="package" resultproperty="maven.build.result" options="-e -Dspring.root=${firware.build.root} -Dbuild.for.prod=false -Djavac.debug=true -Djavac.optimize=false"/>
<
/target>

<!--
This is the macro definition for maven Ant task
-->
<macrodef name="maven">
<attribute name="options" default="" />
<attribute name="goal" />
<attribute name="basedir" />
<attribute name="resultproperty" default="maven.result" />
<element name="args" implicit="true" optional="true" />
<sequential>
<java classname="org.codehaus.classworlds.Launcher" fork="true" dir="@{basedir}" resultproperty="@{resultproperty}">
<jvmarg value="-Xmx512m" />
<classpath>
<fileset dir="${{maven.src.dir}/boot">
<include name="*.jar" />
</fileset>
<fileset dir="${{maven.src.dir}/lib">
<include name="*.jar" />
</fileset>
</classpath>
<sysproperty key="classworlds.conf" value="${{maven.src.dir}/bin/m2.conf" />
<sysproperty key="maven.home" value="${maven.src.dir}" />
<arg line="--batch-mode @{options} @{goal}" />
</java>
</sequential>
</macrodef>

From the above scratch 'attributes' are basic info about maven tasks.
Options : here we need to provide command line options to build task.
Goal : maven goal (clean, package, install)
Basedir : our pom.xml file path
resultproperty : it is optional.

Invisible mode in Gtalk client

Is there any way to to go invisible mode in Gtalk? This feature available in Gmail (web mail) widget but not in Gtalk. Every time when I want to go invisible I am using webmail instaed of gtalk. If we are addicted to gtalk client then it is little bit tough to use webmail.

Today morning with a quick googling I came to know that recently google released Google Talk lab version, provies invisible mode feature. Google saying this is expermintal version of gtalk client and one more thing is emotions(Avatars) feature is also available in this lab version. downward is lack of file transfer & voice mail features in this experimental version.

I just downloaded and installed it in my desktop, seems to be not bad, For more details about google talk lab version go to google official website. Download it from Google Talk Lab Edition and try it.

How unique MAC address?

From long time back I hv a doubt abt how IEEE maintaining unique Mac address or Physical address for each h/w machine. Recently when I am browsing for VMware ports scan i got an information abt mac generation. Fortunately mac address contains 6 pairs of hexacode, from this IEEE assigning first 3 pairs of series to particular manufacturer, next 3 pair series can be used by them, so that then can hv a chance to give 16^3(4096) macs to their h/w with this series. Likewise manufacturer needs to get series to give mac addresses.

Due to this kind of distribution no two manufacturer hv same mac address, so that no collision. All the above explanation is my understading, If something wrong please correct me. For more details please chek IEEE official site. from this articale we can know how mac addresses distributing.

Things U never knew about ur cellphone

Recently I got an e-mail about mobiles, Here I am posting the mail content.

There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it

1 EMERGENCY:
The Emergency Number worldwide for**Mobile**is112 If yo find yourself out of coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency,dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112can be dialed even if the keypad is locked.

2 Have you locked your keys in the car?
Does you car have remote keys? This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone:If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, callsomeone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone.Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone fro having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away,and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk).

3 HiddenBattery powerImagine your cell battery isvery low
you are expecting an importan call and you don't have a charger.Nokia instrument comes with a reservebattery. To activate, press the keys *3370# Your cell will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a50% increase in battery. Thisreserve will get charged when you charge your cell next time AND...

4 How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?
To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on your phone: * # 0 6 # A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. when your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. Theywill then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless.You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you kno that whoever stole it can't use/sell it either.

5 Takecare while using your mobile phone
When you try to call someone through mobile phone,don't put your mobile closer to your ears until the recipient answers. Because directly after dialing, the mobile phone would use it's maximum signaling power, which is: 2watts = 33dbi, Plz Be Careful, Message as received (Save your brain)Please use left ear while using cell (mobile), because if you use the right one it will affect brain directly. This is a true fact from Apollo medical team.
